The computer security industry is swarming with hundreds of applications claiming to keep your PC free of spyware. Some of them are great, some are just decent, and some are a plain waste of money, or might harm your PC themselves! Especially if you buy a premium application, you don’t want to choose the wrong product.
Freedom from spyware and Adware can come free, you just have to know the right tools to do so. These 4 anti spyware programs are proven and tested to be the best of the best, and they won’t even cost you a penny. Become an educated computer user, and keep your pc free from spyware infections with 1 or 2 of these programs.
SuperAntiSpyware
Somewhat of a newcomer to the anti spyware scene, SuperAntiSpyware has quickly shown itself to be one of the best free anti adware programs available. It is known to catch many infections that other programs miss, scans fairly quickly, and is fairly simple to use.
MalwareBytes Anti-Malware
MalwareBytes is the second to SuperAntiSpyware. MalwareBytes also is great for catching the elusive of spyware infections. However, MalwareBytes is not as good as cleaning up smaller things such as tracking cookies. I advise people who use MalwareBytes to use it in conjunction with AdAware of Spybot S&D.
AdAware Free
AdAware is one of the mainstays in the market. It has been around for a long time, and has only recently lost ground to a couple programs such as SuperAntiSpyware and MalwareBytes. AdAware is great for the novice computer user. It is incredibly simple and catches most if not all infections. There extreme times when it may not be able to handle a particularly severe infection, but this is rare.
Spybot Search and Destroy
Spybot S&D is much like Adaware. Great for the novice due to it’s simplicity, but the power user or the individual with a severe spyware problem could benefit from SuperAntiSpyware or MalwareBytes.
You can’t go wrong with any of these four programs. Ideally, you should run a scan on your computer every 2-3 weeks with one of these, and an antivirus program. If you do this, your computer should stay in tip top shape, just like the day you bought it.
